A former Fine prints publisher himself in the nineties, HUBERT CUILLÉ has always put forward the promotion of Fine print making in his Art dealing activities

France has a century-long tradition, expertise and reputation in Fine print making. It has always attracted the greatest artists from all over the world notably the major names of the XXth Century like Chagall, Picasso, Miro and so many other Printmakers. For decades France has been the home of many worldwide reputed Fine print making « Ateliers » mastering various technics such as woodcut, lithograph, etching, intaglio, aquatint and many more

Nowadays, with the overwhelming expansion of the digital world, this Fine print making industry is regrettably downsizing

However a few of these legendary Fine print makers remain like ATELIER EDITIONS BUCCIALI, settled in Colmar in the Eastern region of Elsass, one of the most active of them still printing and publishing yearly about a hundred new editions from about 15 different artists

The Atelier is fully dedicated to contemporary creation while using the century-old process of etching on a copper plate and printing on Fine art paper with a hand-run press. All editions are limited to 30-50 pieces, every sheet hand-inked and printed one by one, numbered and signed by the artist, making each of them a valuable  “original multiple artwork”

Over the past 40 year EDITIONS BUCCIALI has created a unique inventory of several hundreds of editions from more than 80 different artist of all nationalities and styles
